At the moment I am going through every teenager's worst time of their life where I am losing loads of sleep, tossing and turning, worrying about what grades I got. The results are posted exactly 4 weeks today and I tell you Im on edge. Im worried about whether I would be going to my first choice uni, as I have no insurance offers anyway. I am completely trapped. The thing is I cant really talk to those close to me because they think Im being paranoid or modest and dismiss my worries with "what are you so worried about? your clever, etc..." The problem is - IM MOT. But no one believes me!! The only way I can get this off my chest is to impart these anxieties to you guys who are more likely to be able to offer me advice objectively.
Please suggest remedies and wise words. And please do not suggest suicide. |

Meenara, Salaam and welcome to b.com.
the best thing to do is to stop even thinking about it. get this word 'results' off your head and depend on Allah for your destiny. believe me there are so many ppl who've got poor a-levels yet good degrees and vice versa. you will get what you deserve. you may not go to your chosen uni, but that's not the end of the world. even if you don't get to do the degree you wanted cos of th results you can always choose something else. everyone without a-levels survives and i'm sure so will you even if it meant you didn't get the desired results. the best thing to have in life is a good social life, so enjoy yourself in the meantime - of course in a halal way!!! RELAX and BE COOL!!!!! |

Don't worry Meenara -- U 'll be fine .
I found that its usually the good students who worry about the results --- I think u r one. And if so u 'll be fine. From my exp. I found that u actually do better in exams then u think ---- and anyway u can't do anything to change it --so pray to god and enjoy the hols--- Don't notice negative comments by some ppl --and A-level isn't the end of everything -- look forward and think what u want to do at uni --and prepare for that --rather than worrying about things u can't change chiao Ashraf ps: look forward to hear about ur results once out -- I think u'll b eokay |
