I think it's ok as long as you dont eat pork..I mean what if you are really really hungry and the only thing available is chessburger from McDonalds? Just say bismillah and eat it. And I dont like it when people make fuss about halal food...Come on they gotta realize that its not that easy to get everything halal over here...dont about london...but here its not that easy to get.

Mmmm, interesting views...

Ok, so we're in, say, McDonalds, starving. All the other shops that may sell things likes crisps and bagels are closed. Is it allright to eat a Cheese Burger... NO! Why don't you have the damn fishburger (fillet-o-fish I think it's called) or a vegetable burger!

Ahhh... it's so simple when you think about it!

No seriously though, I'm no Imam or Sheikh, but as the saying goes you are what you eat. Eat haram means you are ... !

Anyway, as far as i know we as muslims are only allowed to eat meat that have been slaughtered in the name of Allah in the prescribed humane way. I would be very careful of using the argument that it's ok to eat meat that may not be halaal, by saying bismillah it mays it legal somehow.

As far as I know (and please correct me if I'm wrong) the only time we, as muslims, are allowed to eat haram meat is when we are in risk of dying and we have no other source of food... and even then we are supposed to eat just enough to survive!

My most important point: What are you doing eating in a sh** place live McDs anyway!

To be honest there shouldd not even be a debate on this subject, anyway since its here this is what I have to say.

If you beleive in the Holy Quran then this Book clearly states that you should never eat haram whether you like it or not. Of-course in a very extrem situation when it is a matter of life and death only then are you allowed to eat what ever you can find even pork.

Note: Halal and Haram will never mix till the day of Judgement. Just because someone eats something haram or does something wrong does not make it right or Halal.

Our Prophet clearly stated that man is the outcome of his actions and if he does things wrong or Haram then his outcome, character, personality nand humanity will be an evil one too.

Assalamu alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh

Excuseeeeee meeeee!!!!!
but what did u mean when u said ..."it is not that i am some really religious person i am just normal." R u trying to imply that religious ppl r abnormal or sumting???

and noo its not okay to have a cheese burger when u r out with ur mates (my opinion)?? r u seriously telling me that u cant stand the peer pressure and have to ave a cheeses burger... Mcdonalds always have veggie burgers or fillet fish ones so u dont really have an excuse like ladywithlooks. And i am sure ur friends wouldnt mind either!!

I know its hard to keep up but u gotto have a strong deen and inshallah Allah will help ya get thru.. no matter what happens... So TRY UR BEST!

anyways enough of my lectures... I jus HAD to leave my books to reply to ur topic.... So its back to revision for me... 8 more days till me exams.... yikes...
