Westernisation is a disease which will take many descent people astray and provide them with happiness in the short term but misery in the long term and the life after death.
We read in this notice board about young Bangladeshi people who are confused with no sense of direction worried about all sorts of problem. Although Western society are very advanced economically, technologically, academically but it is also advanced interms ofv having no values. Look at the divorce rates, one in two marriages (50%) ends up in divorce. One in three children (33%) born in the last five years are outside marriage. Meaning the kids do not have an oficially reguistered mother and farther as they are known as partners and not husband and wife. Look at the rate of adultery for both men and women, accepting gay and lesbian in society and MP's campaigning to introduce homosexuality education in schools (section 28). Imagine your immediate relatives, younger brothers and sisters are being taught that gay and lesbian activities are good and OK in modern day society. I feel sorry for gays and lesbians and I believe that they need help to realise that people cannot be born homosexual and the fact that they choose to be homosexual. What we as Bangladeshi's living in Britain must do is realize the difference between right and wrong and choose the right balance between Eastern and Western Culture and use them to devise some guiding principles in which we can stick to. I am sorry if this is boring or offensive but these are the facts of Westernisation. I have nothing against homosexuals. Any feedback welcome. |

What do you folks like or dislike about living in the West (Countries like the UK, USA).
I am sure there is a lot of people out there who would like to hear your views. I for one is greatful that my father eventually decided to bring us to the UK in the mid 1980's. As a result I have accessed one of the most advanced educational systems in the world, better living conditions, better medical facilities and now I have a decent job. However I don't like what I see on news day in day out, societal problems, no family values, very little moral guidance for young people, very few positive role models. Don't keep your views to yourself, you are entitled to freedom of speech, lets hear it! Regards Ahad. PS if Buterfly is there I would like to hear from you as well. I sincerely hope that you had a wonderful eid. PS I am giving up being nasty to you, for LENT. |
