Hahahahaha....Butterfly, I marvel at your recommendation: "...better be nothing to my point of view....".
Mam., very few would fathom the implication of your perceptive observation. I look forward to many such nuggets of modern `wisdom'from your end. Long Live Butterfly !!! |

I am glad you have got your sense back. Although you are not prepared to get yourself back on the straight path, atleast you have accepted that you will make sure your daughter will be (if you have one).
This in itself is an achievement that you recognise the values of Islam. I am sorry I haven't got time to answer all your questions, but I will attempt to answer some. Here in Britain men do wear sarees at home and tothe local mosque. Women do wear mainly sarees. Allah did not create the world overnight, six billion people living on the earth were not born overnight, it takes time to change traditins, and a lot of the Hindu traditions are being removed from the Bnagladeshi way of life. My family does not participate in Gaye Holud if you must know. About selling Shootki in Restaurants, many Indian restaurants did sell dried fish (shootki) as bombay duck. The British people loved the tase maybe not the smell. Its not on the menu any longer as they are not sure what health precautions are taken whilst the shootki is being dried in a third world country. I don't see why I should be defensive as I have already proven my points of cultural preservation, the need for religious and moral guidance. Interms of speaking English, English is one of my six languages that I speak reasonably well and three of them fluently including Bangla (with a Sylhety dialect). Learning a language is a skill and to be able to portray and express youself in many languages makes you appealing to a wider audience as more peoiple can understand you. Unlike you Buterfly (embarrassed to use your family name)I can stand with my head high in the Islamic world, in Bangladesh and in the UK. Knowledge is power and thats one of the many things I can offer to all three societies. Its not too late, Allah is forgiving! I am sure Allah can forgive you as well. In terms of misleading peopl, young people look for role models, if they have POSITIVE role models, then they can grow up to become decent law biding citizens. If they have Negative role models then they will be brought up to accept the wrong doiungs of society. We in Britain have a lot people holding public offices who are not exactly positive role models. We ahve a very large Bangladeshi Community (recent estimates believe to be between 260000- 400000), it is important that these people remember their roots and enjoy the best of both world using religion as the guding force. No hard feelings. I can see you are a bit upset. You have dug your own grave with your contradicing views. I am sure many readers who have read your views will agree with me. Feed back welcome. PS Have a wonderful Eid, it is a time of Reconcilliation. |
