Whats is like living in USA

I just wondered what it is like living in USA. I hope to go for a visit next summer. But some of the things that i have seen on TV makes me scared. Places such as New York, Detroit and so on. How safe would it be a British asian travelling in USA at his own accord?

Just take the standard precautions. It's not much different than a Bangladeshi American visiting London or Manchester for the first time.

Get a travel book on the U.S. or on the cities you plan to travel for valuable info. Millions of tourists visit the U.S. every year without worries. Hopefully you have friends or relatives which will make your stay more pleasant.
