but who are the "Jews"?

much of modern day "Jewry" has no blood connection to the tribe of Shem or any of the 'tribes' from the middle east.
they are simply eastern europeans from some kingdom called Khazaria, who converted en mass to the FAITH of the Jews.

modern day Israel is stratified, with the Ashkenazi (sp?) eastern european/germanic Jews dominant, whilst sephardic (arab) jews play second fiddle in their own homes. then there's the position of the Etheopian tribes that claim to possess the ark of the covenant, who claim blood descent from one of the 12 tribes... these people are even lower in stature within the broader community of World Jewry.

it is morally offensive to support imperialism and colonialism. the modern day "jews" are merely a varient of europeans, nothing more exotic than that. and what they are doing isn't fulfilling prophacy but simple conquest and colonisation.

seen in that context I think the statements in the Quran that you cite no longer have direct relevance.
