Dear Friend Star,

I am a fan of the band Boney.M for more than 20 years ( I am only 32 years old now ). I met Boney.M while I was in Sri Lanka. But unfortunately only with one of their original band members ( Male singer " Bobby Farrell " ). The rest of the bands female artist's are imitations. Since I am very much interested to see the original band to team up, I suggested Mr. Frank Farian ( Founder, Producer and Manager of Boney.M ) to look into the possibility of bringing back the Original line up together, giving up all the misunderstandings. Mr. Farian agreed for that by writing to me and I have the proof letter if you want to have a glance. Mr. Farian is unaware of the whereabouts of the bands other original line up female or male singer. I wanted to contact the original band members Liz Mitchell ( Female Lead Vocalist ), Marcia Barret, Mazie Williams and Bobby Farrell. If these members are not available in the band, then its not the Original line up. Any way atleast I need to communicate with one original band member of the band to convey their Managers Message. I appreciate the seriousness of your desire to track down Boney M. And indeed I am aware of the appeal of their music, and wish you success in achieving your ambition of seeing them again.

I think it is fair to say that it would be difficult to get any positive respone to your search via this forum - but I guess you are trying all means possible.

Like I said, I hope you will be able to hear the original versions of brown girl in the ring, rasputin, and other classics in the future.

Well, this brings back memories of long ago....'Brown girl in the ring -- sha la la la la :-)

I think I got into puberty, actually liking girls and got my first quadraphonic stereo in Dhaka too(all at the same time -- no mean feat.)

Boney 'M' was synonimous with bell-bottoms, platform shoes, big afros and whatever else!! A 70's icon that was very popular in Asia (and bangladesh) at that time. But I think their tunes sounded all the same.
