I never did understand what that song was about.

At the school I went to, me and my mate were the only brown kids in the entire school. It was a small town with only afew Bengali families. We often got called to the front of assemblies where the headmaster used to point to us and explain "eastern culture" to the white kids in an attempt to help them "understand" us.

I don't think they'd be able to get away with the sh1t they did back in the mid 80's.
I thought Oldham had alot more tham just a few bengy families? Maybe Im wrong

LOL....yeh, I remember the assemblies...there were quite afew gujjy families in my end at that time and we used to have colourful diwali assemblies where girls n boys would dance with dhandia sticks...twas ace
Oldham has plenty of Bengali families. But I wasn't raised here. Only came here in 1991.

There are quite a few Gujjis in Oldham and Rochdale. they have their own dandiya groups which I try and watch in action as often as possible, they had a really good week long celebration for the 25th anniversary at our local temple.

Hehehehe..... you think so? Bradford and its surrounding areas aren't that big. And since I have an idea which bank it is, then that narrows it down even more.

Did I happen to mention that I used to find info on women my mates were interested in?

Is that Angelica handing in her resignation?
