my best friend passed away (inna lillahi wa-inna lillahi rajiun) in a car crash last night in LA
plz pray for him

god. life. death. questions.

through the thick and thin we've come across
those cruises down the sunset boulevard

conversations nostalgic, talkin bout the old school days
jus a few more years and we'd be chilling in dhaka again
we'd end up smiling, tellin ourselves,
inshallah things between us will never change.
from dhaka we parted to toronto , sydney and LA.
got a phone call, jason he said, dost aaron he died
in a car crash on the highway.
i dropped the smoke burning in my hand. as a tear drop rolled down my unshaven face.
i knelt down in tears and asked god why.
first u took away the girl i loved, then u took away everything that defined my life, and now u;ve taken away a brother, i'll never see him again.
i hung up the phone, and this anger i felt, God is so unfair
i said to myself.
ran to my moms room, wit the phone in my hand.
it was 5 AM i hugged her and i cried. these cruel realities of life,
i asked her to make me understand.
she held me in tears and said "shazad this is one more of gods tests".
"tests ? what the f*ck for ?" i quote myself.
he took away everything i had and now he took away a friend.
when will all this chaos and agony end ?
i sit here and i ponder, all these questions i wanna ask god myself.
this frustration, this helplesness . why does God play these games ?
3 weeks back he called me and said, dost come down to LA we'll chill again.
my friend he died, never got a chance to say good bye.
