Each individual is the best judge of himself. If a certain type of singing, dancing, films etc... arouses one's passions leading him towards sin, and dulls spirituality, excites the animal instincts, he must avoid it thus closing the door to temptations.

Your film industry mate - is selling a fantasy vision - something for the poor and oppressed to dream about and aspire to - even though they know they are never gonna have the lifestyle shown by those films...

it encourages materialistic ambitions...

in essence it is just a medium to brainwash and keep quiet the masses...

Having said that - i'd be lying if i said i've never watched a film in my life or that i would never see one again. All I am saying is that you showing-off about bollywood aint something to inspire envy in our hearts.

personally i don't think ppl are so dumb to be taken in by movies, they just watch it to unwind, it doesn't stop them participating and acknowledging wts happening in the real world. Movies can also be informative and can have historical and cultural significance, it's a fun way of learning about different people and their lives, in essence films widen people's horizons in a fun and enjoyable way.
