Every bengali or hindi movie I watch have different sorts of songs in them. It makes no sense to me. One moment they are real enemies. And the other, they start dancing and singing for no reason. And one more thing all bengali and hindi movies story always somehow stay the same. Like it would mostly be about family or action. No science-fiction, or horror. Well I have seen a few horror but they are no horror movie to be real.

Well the Indian movie industry just can't afford to not have singing in there movies. That's because the people of India and what ever other culture watches Hindi movies realy like the songs. If they stoped it they would loose a lot of customers. English movies used to be that way until the populations taste changed and so the movies changed. Unfortunatly our taste didn't like a lot of things that didn't change. Did you notice how the style of clothes changed through out Europe and Americas? Compared to them ours hardly changed at all and our food haven't changed mush either.

There are two parts to hindi film industry now. Music & Film.
In many films the music plays no part except it generates money through Music tapes & CD sales and provides with a glimpse of the movie. I don't think its necessary to kill the music from the film, just include it in the right context and background (also avoid some of the distasteful jumping around that sometimes gets referred to as dancing). Even ArtFilm directors like Shyam Benegal and Deepa Mehta have started including songs in their movies.

I think if they did a spoof film about Bollywood movies they might change their tune. Also they should start singing and then turn to audience and say Gotcha!!!!!!
