Hey Ksolima,
you have chosen a nice topic. Not all parents consult their daughters/sons before marriage, and u know next thing might be your jetting off to BD. Is the programme in UK? i have not heard or seen it. So for example, a person is educated here to A levels, degree, should the person get or consider getting married in BD, where maybe the husband/wife to be are not educated or don't even know English (mostly likely). A person educated would want to work in UK thats is 9am to 5pm, and after that if s/he at home also is required to take charge of home coz hubs/wife cant speak English would be a great stress too, well it can be though..eg going to doctors though this is not a big issue! There are loads more stuff to think of. Then again if you like someone from BD then thats it...what else can you do but get married to them!! Most all of parents should consider the sons/daughters view before making a decision, COZ MARRIAGE IS FOR LIFE, NOT A GAME!!! The divorce rate is increasing in asian marriages whether its parents fault or not. anyway nice talking to you May we all have an understanding mind. Take care and would like to know you better.. ------------------ Abs |

Ksolima I have'nt seen the drama but I have seen somesort of film and I think it was called somthing like the tilte you mentioned.
Is it the one where she ends up falling for a teacher in the village, but everyones against it???? Anyway, I think its well wronge for parents to plan their childs future without consulting first. The film i saw sadly reflected reality, the marriage became some sort of bidding competion, the one who gave the most money (highest bid) to the father, is allowed to marry his daughter....what a joke...like christies in england... Anyway, my point is money sometimes has a say in the matter not just education, and these days in our country money tends to be the godfather of pulling power... takecare all. aff |
