Mornin/Afternoon/Evenin
Just finished reading "Brick lane" by Monica Ali. It was alright... Kind of felt it was aimed at the white middle class who loved these types of insights into ethnic minorities, which more or less concentrate on the negativity of the Bangladeshi culture. Never the less in touches many social issues. Monica Ali's descriptions were very detailed, and the character Karim, a young Bengali British man, had for me, a lot to relate with. This book has the right ingredients to be a great film! with 9/11, 7/7, seven eleven (Quik plug for my Asian shopkeepers!) this film would go down a storm.... And i think the making of it is in process at the mo. Got a reply from the guys at http://www.abed.org.uk. Seems really interesting.... i dont want to tell you guys, but they are looking for actors and extra's... aaargh didnt want my chances of becoming famous fall to pieces, by increasing competition. But i have to spread the love, any way i think they mentioned something about all ages and..... Anyway the point is, what did u guys think of the book, and do u think it will make a good film?? |
