I picked this film up because I saw the cover of a fat guy and a pretty oriental girl and thought yeh this’ll be a good comedy. (I got this on pirate, but I think its due for release in October sometime)

First 5 minutes into the film I realize that the film is shot on a camcorder and and that it’s a documentary and the producers are paying for the guy to marry this girl…im thinking , damn , this is real, this unattractive fat guy is gonna marry this pretty oriental. And what made it worse was that the fat guy had completely no personality at all …just a dumb bum. ..... Im thinking poor girl.

But it gets worse …a lot worse. The fat guy (her husband now) uses her as a maid makin her do all kindsa ****, the filmmaker tries to show the fat guy that the girl aint happy but he basically tells him to piss off, So he does.

Then, few weeks later, the filmmaker gets a visit from the girl,…. she ran away cos the fat guy was using her to make these sick home videos. …then some more **** happens, which is just shocking.
This is the first film in a while that has really made me think.
By the end of the film I felt so sorry for the girl and hated all the guys that she came in contact with including the filmmaker.
I think this is one of those films people should really watch.






Btw …it was only after I did a little checking that I found out that this film was infact a mocumentary …I felt alittle better ….but I hope this kinda **** isnt happening for real somewhere)

Oh no no no no, far worse is happenning than that. These fat and ugly westerners (often middle aged) have problems even pulling an ugly bird in their country so they have to buy one.

Girls in the far east who are poor often sell themselves to foreign guys to help their familiy out. Once they're with these *******s they are at their mercy. Being treated like a slave or forced into blue films/prostitution isn't unheard of.

Similar things happen to girls from India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and even Pakistan. Every year hundreds of thousands of poor girls are sent to the middle east to work as maids etc but they are sent directly to work as prostitutes. Would you like a report which documents this and gives us cases of Bangladeshi girls?

...you really want me to spoil it for ya? ....go watch it ...it'll have you glued to the screen

But I think the girl has the last laugh in the end ....actually I shouldnt have told you so much ....youd have been alot more shocked when you see the film. .. ....but still has impact and definately worth watching.

As Indo said, a lot of South East Asian women hook up with white blokes, in order to have a better life for themselves and their families. It is a pity that the state of things has come to this.

I'm still depressed after seeing The Constant Gardener so I was thinking of watching a 'light' comedy to cheer me up. Or alternatively The Cinderella Man with Russsel Crowe. I think that has a happy ending although it is a rough movie.

No I do know how bad it is …..just hate facing the reality …im an optimist, or atleast try to be.

Yes im like that too, after watching something so depressing, I try an watch something light …. But still feel depressed and useless.
