It's an enjoyable movie with great special effects and great fighting. It really gives the sense of being in an epic!

But...

it's a really sh!te telling of a beautiful poem!

The Iliad & The Odyssey is one of the most complicated and epic tales ever told

(The Iliad is about the Trojan War whilst The Odyssey is about Odysseus' twenty year journey home from the war)

The film does little to capture the true gravity of the story and isn't really able to establish the depth of each character. i thought Brad Pitt and Hulk (Eric Bana) played the parts of action heros well, but Pitt was a cr@p Achilles whilst Bana was ok

Anyway lemme know what u lot think.

I know it is diff to motion picture The Iliad in 3hrs, so why couldnt they have done it in bits?

OH YEAH AND WHERE DID THEY GET THAT UGLY ACTRESS TO PLAY HELEN OF TROY (considering shes sposed to be one of the most beautiful women that ever existed)???!!! There are SO MANY actresses who would have been great at the role...

Hmmm, I wasnt a big fan of 50 first dates. adam and drew just didnt have that chemistry to make the film great.

as for troy... seeing it friday. have heard that the casting director should have been fored though. im not a fan of brad pitt either so dont reckon it will be my cuppa tea...

Troy

What a load of garbage! The acting (esp Brad Pitt's), the script, the ending - virtually every aspect of the film was pure drivel. The only redeeming factors of the movie were Eric Bana's Hector and the fight sequences.
