she basically repeats the bernard lewis picture fo islam , he is the dude whos infoming white house policy and who got intellectually destroyed and mashed up in the most beautiful way by edward said.

she does have token lesbo ismaili value though, if you are into that kind of stuff.

i saw a review of it in a paper. why dont you read Islam and the Destiny of man by Gai eaton...
or something relevant and timely like Western muslims and the future of islam by Tariq ramadan?

Which gig are you talking about?

There's one on the 4th - but that's a panel discussion thing

It's a pity but most of the talks which sounded really interesting seem to have taken place out of London

i saw S.H.Y.H on question time today, as recommended by star

he wasnt really given much opportunity to let loose, but i love the way he logically argues with a clarity absent by some of the unfortunate bros pulled up common media usually (remember the number of times Abu Hamza used to cameo on c4... before he became "famous"?)

he did 'clarify' the israeli ''collective guilt" theory nicely. did u guys see it?

he's been on Question Time before - it's not the best medium, because he doesn't delve in soundbites, and always practises good manners, so doesn't just jump in rudely (like the politicians do)

but give him enough time and he demonstrates his superior intellect

i love the way he drove that young evil petni (you know who) crazy!!!

and he had the best soundbite. telling norman tebbit

on the 5th hes doing an interesting thing with the union of muslim students on kings road somewhere.

this saturady hes in oxford. its not that far you know

its always a good thing to have a clever white dude on the telly, as ameriacan as can be. we have similarly intelligent and articulate people, but becasue of our brown murokho inferiority complexes, we never let them shine.

some of them run the ums, i would heartily recommend that you go to it

if not the q news one, whoch should attract an interesting crowd
