"Bangladeshi movie ´Matir Moina´, which has won the critics award at the Cannes film festival has been send/nominted to the ´Best Foreign Film Category´ same as Devdas. Directed by Tariq Masud, this movie has a background in the pre-independence set up of the 1971 war after which Bangladesh was formed.

Those who have seen the movie say that it is a masterpiece. Will another War movie pip us to the post again? We hope not"

This film has been banned in Bangladesh. I am proud that the first bangladeshi movies has nominated for oscar. I really like to see the movie.
