Everyone lets exchange views about books we are currently reading or have read.

That way we can tell the thrillers from the damp squibs.

Maybe it's an all time fav or a total turn off.

I'll start the ball rolling with my review.

THE EAGLE HAS LANDED (By Jack Higgins)

It's 1943 and the tide of World War Two has turned against Hitler and his dark Legions. His forces have been crushed at the epic battle of Stalingrad and the Allies have landed in North Africa and are preparing to breach Fortress Europa.

All seems lost for the Germans. When the Nazi's come up with a sensational and daring (suicidal?) undercover plan to change the course of history....

This is quite simply THE best war thriller I've ever read (and I've read a few!).

The pace is fast and exhilarating. With the focus of attention changing constantly between Berlin and various locales in the UK.

The readers attention is kept by well placed plot twists and suprises. I couldn't put this book down until I'd finished it.

Anyone else?

I'm not reading anything at the moment, well I do have a half finished novel sitting on my bed but forget that for now.

The book I want to mention is a book I read when I was in grade six. I know none of you are going to bother reading it and i don't recomned it now either but I do remember just how much I had loved the book back then. It is called: Beauty. And it is a rewritten version of the classical story of beauty and the beast. It's really a beautiful book.
