Impressing lists!
Moi:
1. finnish
2. swedish
3. english
4. german
5. french / un peut
6. russian / even less than french
7. ..... balo bashi
8. ..... salam aleikum (muslim small talk)
9. I used to know few words in farsi like
shäbbeheir = good night,
but forgot it all when 1 guy hit me and I
went to doctor. Huh, wild men, like gorillas
some of them.

i love languages. If only I had more time
and if I were less sad all the time!
German I actually understand as well as
english. But it's easier to speak english
b'cos in Finland you usually don't much need
to speak german but english a lot at work
and with tourists, ---- yes and immigrants of course.

By the way do you like to watch german "crimis"
at TV? Sometimes pretty good entertainment and
listening/watching u improve your language skillsss.

Good night,
PS. in bangla good night?

Cami

Gaelic isn't dead, a lot of people still speak it in Ireland and many other places. The only reason I know a little bit of it is because one of my friends is from Irish descent.

I used to know many Turkish swear words but unfortunatly forgot them .

Languages

I have a list somewhat similar to the majority of the people here. Here it goes.

1. Hindi, English, Marathi - Can understand, speak, read and write well

2. Punjabi, Gujarati, Bhojpuri - Can understand and speak well

3. Sanskrit, Bengali - Can understand to a beginners level, often with a little help. Thanks to this forum, and Shilpa, i can really understand bengali a lot better now.

4. Urdu - Can understand the Hindi-Urdu mix as in indian movies. Pure urdu is beyond my comprehension.

5. Malaysian (Malay), French, German, Telugu, Malayalam, Nepali, Spanish, Kashmiri - Can understand a few words. Very few in fact.
