a person becomes Muslim by attesting that there in no God but Allah and Muhammed (pbuh) is his Messenger

and believing in Allah his angels, his messengers, his books, destiny whether good or evil and the last day.

There is NO hadith or ayah in quran saying that you have to know arabic to be a good muslim - or even that you should learn Arabic

Your statement that you have to know arabic to be a Muslim means that you are saying that the 85% of the worlds Muslims who dont know arabic are kafirs. as you know from the hadith if a muslim calls someone else a kafir then one of them is (i.e if you call a muslim a kafir you become a kafir) - therefore if one of these 900 million Muslims is a muslim (btw i am amongst them i am a muslim who doesnt speak arabic) then YOU BECOME A KAFIR - if you die upon this you will spent eternity in hellfire - repent and fear Allah swt

If somebody say "As salamoalicom", then I think every muslim knows that he is being greeted by some body in muslim culture.Either he understand the meaning of arabic words or not he surely understand that some body is greeting him in muslim culture. Is that enough for a muslim????

This Abdur rahman is not the same Abdur Rahman we find posting elsewhere. This guy created and used this knickname to confuse us. I don't believe he (Abdur rahman, note lowercase r in rahman)is a practicing muslim.

So ignore him.
