From what ive heard of de chittogongi dialect, it is like lightening (okay exaggerating a lil), i think it sounds a bit like english too, i.e. "I no khaiyum, I hani khaitam", i hope i got those right,
Every region in Bangladesh has its own dialect, but sylhety aint a dialect, its a language, cuz it has its own script

>Every region in Bangladesh has its own dialect, but >sylhety aint a dialect, its a language, cuz it has its own >script And what script might that be? AFAIK in sylhet they write in Bangla-lekha. In Assam, they write in the Bengali script. Does that mean they speak Bangla? |

Info on Chittagong LANGUAGE...yes, LANGUAGE.
If you look at an almanac of this year or last year, you'll see that CHTG is one of the top 50 languages by speakers...sorry my dear Slyhetis, we got more speakers than you's. Also, i think someone mentioned chtg. sounds like English...well, its not surprising since 30% of the nouns we use are in English. Chtg is an Asian Creole, including words from Farsi, Hindhi, Turkish, Portuguese, etc.
