Question

I have some friends at work that are Bengalis and they keep on saying the same thing over and over again to me in Bengali (I have no Idea about Sylheti language compared to Normal Bengali, or if they are the same, so I couldn't say which it was), and I cannot type what they said because I can't make head or tail of it.

Was wondering if you nice people might give me a few basic Bengali phrases such as:

I Hate You
You Stink Like Horse's Tail On A Hot Day......

you get the idea, just so I can listen in properly next time and get what they say. What do you think they are saying?....bear in mind, they are female, 22 and 24 years old. And they ain't sayin Fagol.....and they aint sayin khobis (or however you spell it)

Thanks guys

Sylheti is a dialect of Bengali, so it does sound different. But I don't speak Sylheti. I don't even speak plain, straight Bengali that well. I'm much better at understanding Bengali really; it's my forte But here goes nothing:

I hate you = Amee tomake ghreena kori

or Tumee amar doo chokher beesh (roughly translates as "you are poison to my eyes"; it's just a more emotional and dramatic way of saying it...like if you really, really hate a person)

As for "You Stink Like Horse's Tail On A Hot Day", I'm not even gonna attempt it.

Plus, how do you know they are saying something negative? For all you know, they could be telling you how incredibly hot they find you
