Yeah i know the translations are fine, what im saying is uve translated things that dont exist. Im sure if i wished my mum a shubo shokhal she'd grumble about how thick i am and about how i dont even know my own language.

Shubo ratri, hmm see i always thght shubo ratri referd to a particualr night. but ur right, after my post i did feel that shubo ratri does sound as tho its correct. Perhaps its meaning has changed?

Can't really be romantic in Bangla, but I sometimes ask him to speak it to me just to hear the sounds. And to be honest, it sounds very different from Urdu, though there are occasional words I can recognise.
