asian northerners

why do asian northerners (ie people from oldham etc) speak with that wierd effed up half asian half northern accent.... and they speak so loudly.... and they are so obnoxious and rude.... plus i think up there, the boys dont have any contact with girls cos when they come down to london they start hitting on all the girls like there is no tomorrow...

.... anyway, i better stop before this turns into an anti-asian- northerner post

down south we definetly got a better standard of females here, thats why they get excited when they come here, bit like freshies jokez


up north is raw man, i went to birmingham and it felt like i was back in 1971 with all the industrial buildins n ****, i just think thats there nature, to be loud and heard, its weird, were from the same country but i see them as different people, like there freshies or somethin ...excludin the outlaw bredrin make it legal and cookie

obviously there gonna have a accent, where you grow up, the way the english is spoken, you chat that way, its like that debate you had with sticky, his from a black dominated area and you think its a problem that he chats in a black way...when really his just being what the area made him....u kno im right, dont hate, appreciate

Can't say for Oldham...but don't hate all Northerners...

Ehem I love Manchester, the city and the accent

Compared to the "sophisticated" South The North might seem backwards, but just think that it hasn't had the same opportunity to change and develop as the South (coz of London being the Capital and the surrounding areas no doubt benefitting from this)

It all goes back to the South- North devide from way back in time...

sorry for the rude comment.... just had an unfortunate run-in with a group of 8 asian boys from Oldham on the tube last night who were trying to chat me up.... why do they feel its okay to harrass a girl through an entire 30 minute journey who is clearly not interested in their advances? ..... in fact, all my experiences with people from Oldham have been bad, normally cos its some of the youth behaving badly.

Manchester's a nice city... I like it there. Dunno what the asian community up there is like though

and snoop, brum aint quite 'north'... its 'midlands'.... tho i know, its all the same at the end of the day (jus kidding)

i think u need an unbiased view from sme1 hu aint from london or from oldham or manchester.

i aint from either n i tink london is definitely much better. oldham is just a corrupt place. no wonder the houses r sooo cheap der. lol. i got relatives der n i hate goin up der. but love goin 2 london-just went there yesterday. n the oldham water tastes really bad-ne1 had it?

As has been mentioned, Birmingham isn't generally considered 'north'.


Us Brummie's are a refined , cultural and friendly lot. Compare with London, where nobody cares if you exist or not. Life here is so drab and gray, I know, having now lived in both places.

In my opinion, Brummie's speak just fine. Neither too loudly nor timidly, just right. In fact, I haven't noticed any great difference in speech, since moving down south last year.


Of course, I cannot speak for the Arsenal-supporting, reggae muffin, East London posse....

londons got a vibe to it, yeah its true were not a close knit community, yes its true no 1 cares wether your alive or not, but thats one of the beauties of it, you have to develop your own circles which you move in...its so much variety..theres something for everyone...from the kids to the pensioners


i think the area i stayed over in in birmingham was quite generally, hence the reason i thought its abit crap, soho st near there...but we went to the shoppin area and it was jus like bein in a london one...which was a welcome change

ok brum might be midlands, lets talk about north, is manchester considered north? they got thick accents...but i like it when gals speak that accent, it sounds nice and somethin different...even when there happy they sound kinda temperamental due to the accent...they all sound so alike, well the 2 i know do, both called asma, when there on the fone i dunno which 1 im chattin to
