All this rubbish about which language is the best. At the end of the day all that matters is that we communicate effectively. Anyone who knows more than one language, knows that you can't always find a word in one language that will be an exact meaning of a word in another language. Each has its own quirks and charms.

Have you noticed something though... it's mostly women that keep chattering about the merits of different languages. And supposedly women have a better grasp of languages than men, no matter what tongue they speak in. Well I think that's quite fair.... where women are skilled at using their tongues to mouth words.... we men employ our tongue-skills elsewhere.... wink wink

I think that Jism has completely missed the humorous side of the latter parts of this thread.....so it looks like we shall have to baby along for those less intelligent.

Simple, Chinese doesn't involve the use of saliva and the destruction of the larynx that Arabic does.... I'm just guessing that Jism is some geezer that always feels oppressed when somebody has a different opinion.
