when ppl are leaving anothers house they say, "ushi ushi" but that means "coming coming". but the thing is, u arent coming, u r leaving! there is no other way to translate it! thaz wat it means & i just dont get it...

i say it, jus before i go out i will say somthing like "ayar" or "aysi" or "ashi"

im not sure if its religious thing but aparently its bad to say "im going" - "zay'ar gi" or something similar. I think its cos 'im going' sounds like 'im dieing'

I never use it if im gona be away for a long time tho, it works only if its for a few hours or so.

for anything longer i would say something like "ami bar'rai zi yar" - "i am going out now" rather than simply im going.

but we do it in english aswell, sometimes i say to my mates "in a bit" litraly meaning that i will be back in a bit. however thats jus not the case. we use the term 'in a bit' to mean good bye. same with 'see you later'

what you rekon amee?

it could b that religious thing. if it is --> lol. that is kinda funny. i asked my dad why ppz say that and he evidently doesnt kno!

i dont think ive ever heard someone leave my house and say the words "ushi ushi"

you sure you heard it correctly?

whatever the words they use to say "im coming"...when they are actually goin..doesnt make sense to me either and i dont think people actually use it much?

especially not guests

only thing i can think of right now is if the people who live in da house say "ayor".. which REALLY means COME..but in the situation it is used in translates into COME WENEVA..COME SOON...VISIT US SOMETIME AGAIN lol

and the response would be "aymu" which REALLY means I WILL COME... means i will visit sometime in da future

i think the confusion is cause the words are so short and if you take it out of the context its used in..it doesnt make sense then..but the situations its used in...even though the words are simple...it does make sense because you understand the meaning of the word, the context there using it in.

are you followin any of this? or have i jus confused u some more? lol

and inabit is actually quite a common goodbye thing now, alot of peeps say IN-A-BIT...that dont make sense..especially if u aint gna see the person or chat to them for awhile...thats why i jus use the word LATAZ.
