French & Arabic

Is any one here fluent in French? I want to learn french...but I am wondering is it possible to learn fluent conversational french through courses in school(i mean university)? I mean how hard is it? Similar to English? Certainly doesn't sound like English when I hear people talk in French. They have FSL(french as a second language) courses in my univeristy and I wondering if it will be useful to take it or will it be just a waste of time.

Also how hard is it to learn conversational arabic?? (Yeap we have arabic classes at university too)...

french is a waste of try really, the gov in canada spend 6-8 years teching us french, and then we can drop it in gr. 9. that is like pure bu11s|-|it. Really, there is no point of learing french. all thouse irregular, ir, ur, er verbs screw up ur mind so much that u can't think what to do at lunch. the teacher can be a real factor though if u DO decide to take french, cause like if the teacher is like charlie brown "blah blah blah blah blah blah ", then u would wanna quit rite away, but then if the teacher is exciting, then u might take if for a week or 2. taking about french, there is only one rule, "YOU CAN'T HAVE FUN LEARING FRENCH."<--- this is so true. i think that french is the most worst subject that u can ever take in highschool. my teacher is like a fu***** hard marker, she never gives us time to have fun(only following the rules), shes kinda u know "HARSH."
if i were u, kaiser_alam, all i would do is turn around, and run as fast as i could................

AND I NEVER WANT TO LEARN FRENCH. IF U WANT kaiser_alam U CAN SWITCH PLACES WITH ME ONLY IN PRD. 4. SO U GET THE FRENCH AND I TAKE THE PRD. OFF.
