I feel proud that Sanskrit, the ancient language of India and which has Bangla, Hindi, Urdu etc originated from, is widely considered by most experts to be the oldest and the most sophisticated language in the world, not to mention the oldest of the Indo-European languages surpassing the ancient Greek! When British academics when to India during the British Raj, they studied the language intensively and discovered to their surprise that Sanskrit is related in structure and in grammar with European Languages. They claimed that it was more refined than Latin and more precise than Greek! It’s so perfect that it can used as computer language!

So a big up to the our ancient ancestors which we as Bangladeshis belong to, for devising such a sophisticated language and the Indus valley civilisation, which is not given the same exposure as the ancient Egyptian civilisation but it's equally as advanced and on a grander scale, it just makes me proud to be a person from South Asia!!

Like Latin and Ancient Greek Sanskrit is not spoken by the masses and is about four thousand years old! This ancient language is widely praised by world experts for its sophistication and advance use of grammar.

So u think Urdu is derived from Arabic and Persian? u idiot! Go back to a library to see Or if u are an illiterate ask an academic to give u the answer. He/she will say that Urdu belongs to Sanskrit family of languages and like many languages it has many loan words from Arabic, Farsi, Turkish, and others. Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi, Bangla and other Indian Languages belong to the Sankrit group of languages. Which in turn belong to Indo-European languages. I suppose u don’t know what the hell I am talking about?

Do u know that Bangla, urdu, farsi and pashto belong to the same family of languages as English and German? Rather than your Arabic? Which is a Semitic language not related to Farsi or Urdu. Just b coz farsi and Urdu adopted modified Arabic alphabet doesn’t make them members of Arabic Languages!

I hate to upset u friend, but u should know what u are talking about! Please study at least major world language groups then come to discuss it. No offence. Just b coz Quran is in Arabic, it doesn't make it the best or one of best language.

Re: Re: hhahahahahah,

Yo, shunar chand dude, i think ur absolutely right..abt several things.

First of all, Urdu came from Sanskritic origin. it just has an arabic scripture cuz Pakiz wanna show some hardcore Muslim pride. It sounds mo persian cuz of its geographic location and its place in history. Our Bengali also has lotta Persian in it......

Anywho, about the whole Arabic being the best lingo...PSHHHHHT. I'd rather listen to my soft-sophisticated Bengali for a thousand years (note: my exageration) then stand a second of Arabic, which literally sounds like someone is squeezing the shyt outa you.
Plus, I'd prefer a language that i can actually read and know what the heck it's saying. I mean, MOST Muslims dont understand a word of Arabic. They just read it as if it was a McDonald's Menu. Aite, i gotta sleep. Peace y'all.
