Salammun Alaikum
dear brothers and sisters I have read a debate between some Sunni and Shia shcolars whic occured in 1929 in Peshawar in the then India and now Pakistan. I was thinking of posting extract of this here and fortunately have found this great debate in the famous Encyclopidia Britannica on the web so I have decided to copy and paste its contents gradually. This debate took over ten intensive nights in the presence of many journalists (who trancripted the debate and published it the next morning in local news papers) and some 200 people watching the debate. This was later compiled and published in a book format. This is the content of the 'Peshawar Nights' found on the net in http://www.britannica.com search for 'Shia' and you will find that book on the left hand side of the page, this is what it says: "Transcript of the famous dialogue between several Sunnite scholars and the Shi'ite scholar Abdu'l-Fani Muhammad al-Musawi Sultanu'l-Wa'izin, held over a period of 10 nights in Peshawar, India, beginning Jan. 27, 1927. Covers Sultanu'l-Wa'izin's efforts to make the case for Shi'ite Islam using orthodox Sunnite sources. I will come back and include everything inshallah but slowly and gradually. Salam and have a happy eid and let us all pray for us all. Aalhamdulilahi Rabbil Alamin I will post it in Religion
