The Greate Debate (Shia and Sunni)

dear brothers and sisters
I have read a debate between some Sunni and Shia shcolars whic occured in 1929 in Peshawar in the then India and now Pakistan. I was thinking of posting extract of this here and fortunately have found this great debate in the famous Encyclopidia Britannica on the web so I have decided to copy and paste its contents gradually.
This debate took over ten intensive nights in the presence of many journalists (who trancripted the debate and published it the next morning in local news papers) and some 200 people watching the debate. This was later compiled and published in a book format.

This is the content of the 'Peshawar Nights' found on the net in
