Gunmen Kills Three Shiites in Pakista

LAHORE, Pakistan (Reuters) - Gunmen killed a religious leader and two other members of the Shiite Muslim sect in two Pakistani cities on Thursday in what seemed to be the latest in a wave of sectarian violence, police said.
They said Shia leader Ghulam Shabbir Chohan died instantly after two unidentified gunmen on a motorcycle sprayed bullets at him as he walked to a market in Gujranwala, in the central province of Punjab, north of the provincial capital Lahore.

Chohan was a former president of the Gujranwala branch of the Shiite Tehrik-e-Jafria Pakistan (TJP) party.

In the port of Karachi, a Shiite policeman and his father, a retired police officer, were shot dead by two masked gunmen who were also riding a motorcycle, police there said.

They said the victims were attacked in Al-Falah area of northern Karachi.

Police said they had arrested two suspects belonging to a militant group from the majority Sunni Muslim sect.

More than a dozen Sunni and Shiite Muslims have been killed in tit-for-tat shootings in the past two months.

TJP chief Allama Sajid Naqvi, in a statement, blamed the military government for the violence.

"Now the situation has gone out of control and if this killing continues, then no one will be safe in the country," he said.

Hundreds of people have been killed in recent years in clashes between militants from Sunni and Shiite sects, which disagree over the interpretation of some of their Islamic beliefs.

As if no Sunnis died.

Why are you thread subjects so pointedly one sided? I thought you said you were a Hanafi who think the Shia school of though to be better.
You don't seem to post much if the heading was Sunnis died.

Angry

What is exactly your problem or do you have worms in your belly that is causing you some serious irritations, Where ever i say something you come and attack me, instead of talking about the discussion or the thread in discussion you try to ridicule me, if you have any brains then talk about whats being posted.

Here I merly said some muslims being killed by some fanatics, so whats your problem in that, who said that only shias are being killed, to me iam posting only what i find to be the case, Shias are being Murdered systematically in Pakistan and Afghanistan by the Wahhabis, if you have some other evidence to show then post it, otherwise shut your mouth.

Why do you get inflamed and scream in agony whenever anyone mentions the fanatical followers of Abdal Wahhab i.e. the Wahhabis, my analysis based on my research tells me that Wahhabis have massacred more muslims and have destroyed more holy Islamic places than any non muslims have done in the last few centuries.
In short It is my opinion based on my findings that Wahhabism was created by the British, funded by America and are there to violently stop the spread of the Religion of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), they are against the true spirit of Islam, to put it bluntly Wahhabism is a curse not only on the Muslims but on the entire Mankind since they try to pull back mankind to prehistoric and barbaric times !

Let's stick to human rights.

These are terrible acts of violence. ANd I feel the reason for the attack was not a religious one. I feel that perhaps there was a political motive.

My point from the beginning is that post without bias?

You post as if only Shias are dying there? Thats an all out street-fight with political motives as Sr Yasmin mentioned.
I commiserate the death of all our brothers.

As for

Here I merly said some muslims being killed by some fanatics

your thread topic is

Shias being killed

Doesn't that imply Sunnis are the only ones responsible?

If I post something on your threads it is because I feel somthing is wrong with the way your threads talk. Also, giving the other 'point of view' is my goal. If you can't take it, don't post one sided threads.

JazakAllah
