Why are oriental people giving up their daughters for sons? So many chinese female babies are giving up for adoptions. Why aren't these chinese people are keeping their babies? How will they expand on population if they don't keep the females? Some of the female babies grow up to be prostitutes.

The last thing China needs is a population expansion your Majesty Their population is already way too high to function at a satisfactory level. In fact, as far as I know the Chinese leaders have sanctioned the number of children a couple can legally have. They need to slow it down.

As for why they give them up, I have no idea on that score.

Families in places such as China are forced to give up their second child because it is law to have only one child per family. the second child thus causes a problem to arise. the government will not provide for that child. and when i write "not provide" i literally mean it. the parents will have to pay for education...healthcare...they cant claim taxes on that kid...infact, they have to pay an EXTRA tax. so only richer ppl can afford a second child. but it is these richer families that have access to things like family planning & birth control. its kinda like a catch-22, really.

as to why they give up the females instead of male children, i reckon its because they have the same mentality as those ignorant folks at the time before Mohammad (PBUH) came around. perhaps to then females arent as worthy as males.
but it is odd, usually a family gives up their second child as they have more luv for the first one, whether it be male or female.

but of course, you (referring to anyone who is reading this) havent got to take anything i have written above seriously as i am clearly not educated to write such things.

Yeah, Mara, so I had heard that the Chinese can have only two children. The reason they want to have sons because they "ugh" BELIEVE that sons will take care of them and daughters will go away after marriage. It's just not fair.

APN, why do you say you are not educated? I NEVER SAID YOU WEREN'T EDUCATED. Maybe this time you will actually read it, instead of putting yourself down by saying that you aren't educated. Anyway, you are right about what you had said. I had learned that in Global Studies in 7th grade when I was 11 years old.

Also, they put them for adoption so 1st world countries can give them a home, the ones that cannot have children. That is all great. But, I mean, a mother to give a birth, then giving the child away, is just for me is totally wrong.

It is not just China but also India where the male to female ratio favours males despite the fact that females genetically have higher longevity. In both countries female feotuses are exterminated following pre-natal tests/ultra sound scans and in India 'dowry-deaths' further add to the deteriorating female numbers.
