i havta agree w/ 'whatever'....dont mix the talibans w/ the afghan ppl. the talibans r @$$holes. if the true message of Islam was like theirs...w/ force and hatred...then Islam wouldve been a diminishing religion. but the message of islam is peace. talibans do not support this view.

100% agreed. I have a message for anybody that believes the Taliban are true muslims: The religion I follow is Islam, and the religion I follow does not tell me that death, destruction, terorism, kidnapping and barbarism are what I should be undertaking. The Taliban have no religion except what they think. They do not have the will power or the love in their hearts to be true muslims. I don't think the Taliban will enjoy their afterlives. They are the infedels and the hypocrites.

Maybe Marawak you have been watching a lot of Western TV do bring about such an opinion of the Taliban as you mention in the quote above.

Have you read some of the articles in the national dailies (admitedly they dont make the front pages due to their true nature!)? They tell stories of how women are being currently raped. People being robbed, kidnapped and murdered.

Have you noticed how western journalists have become surprised how women have not unveiled (taken off the burkha) themselves and started walking in minis? The people of Afghanistan generaly follow the Islamic religion quite strictly. The Taliban made everyone follow it strictly. Now the Taliban have gone the people (religious ones and thats most of them!) have not changed their religious duties and tasks.

I dont think the Taliban were a good government nor do I agree with a lot of their ideologies. However, they did have law and order when they ran the country. This is being proved by interviews being given to Western journalist by the common people.

How many journalist have been murdered in Afghanistan since the demise of the Taliban? I doubt that the Taliban have been involved with such brutalities.

With regards to your call of infidel - I dont think it is your right to call another muslim, however good or bad, an infidel.

Moreover a hypocrite? Look at the real infidels and their hypocritical excuses for removing the Taliban! Sure its given people 'democracy' - robbery, looting, raping, murder, plundering and pillaging. Werent these western diplomats the ones who cried for some human rights in Afghanistan? So much for human rights when they drop a bomb on a prison revolt!

Look on the bright side there's democracy and rights given to a lot of greedy humans (if u can call them). The needy ones still dont have either of them.

A lot of the propaganda during the early stages of the attacks on Afghanistan are being proved false. Yes the Taliban were a rather fanatical in certain aspects. But the western, sorry US & British, replacement hasnt brought anything better to Afghansitan or done anything to better humankind after September 11th. Moreover it has carpeted the country with unexploded bombs. Displaced millions of people. For what reason? Revenge for killing of 2400 - 2900 (official figure and not an US patriotitsm fuelling figure) civilians which those millions displaced do not even now about. Oh yes - and in the process of hunting Bin Laden, killing as many Afghan civilians as the number killed in the WTC!
