Thumbs down

Kumb mella is a ploy to fall innocent hindu ill to fill the pockets of Doctors and pharmaceutical companies. The Gange (Ganga) Jmuna and Sarswati rivers are the mos polluted rivers in the India, because the ashes of dead, human waste, and carcasses of dead animals are drained into these rivers, thus producing all kind of viruses that are fatal to human life. I think Indian Govrernment need to take a necessary action against the conveners of this festival for jeopardizing the health of innocent commons.
I appeal to the hindu reader of this post please avoid such bath that could culminate some kind of serious illnesses.

Much as I agree with your sentiments I think it'll be a brave (foolish) government which tells the hindu's they can no longer bathe in the Ganges.

I agree with you, but who has got the courage to make these people understand. I do respect the people'ss sentiment and believe that faith can move mountain. At the same time everyone has to more health conscious.
River is the source of life to a civilisation. The Govt. should come up with a programme to save the major rivers from pollution. I think this can only happen through proper education and a proper understanding of religion. Religion makes us more reasonable and scientific and not supersticious.

I don't think we are supposed to interfere in their pilgrimage and pass comments on it.
People make comments about why we have to travel to Mecca from different parts of the world just to walk around a black stone. That sort of ridiculous statement would not be taken too kindly by any Muslims. So I say as long as their pilgrimage is not affecting us in any way, we should abstain from talking about it.

JazakAllah

Islam is the true religion based on monotheism as two other big religions do. Islam is continuation of the relligion that practised and propogated by Adam, Noah, Ibrahim, Mosa, Isa and Mohammad PBUH. All the prophets were muslims accordings to "the Koran Sharif", just Mohammad (PBUH) with the climax or the seal to close the chapter of devine religions. And the black stone which you are referring here is not a stone as other stones, but was ascendend from the paradise and thus a holy one. Muslim do not worship stones and not ask to help them, when they are in trouble, they worship alone allah all mighty the sole sustainer of this universe.
