Over 10% of Bangladesh are hindu making them the first minority. Even though there is such a vast number of hindu's, there isn't (I think) any key important member in the BD government who is hindu.
If I am wrong, please correct me, If I am right, I think its wrong.... A simplistic comment, but the whole point I'm sure is understood by everyone. A.

Well I odn't either for sure but I doubt there is any such representative that could actually influence anything but you know, you preatty much see this all through out history. Most of us know it is unfair and not right but the problem isn't about to go away anytime soon. But yes I think there should be a voice for them and vice versa in other countries where there are any large groups of minority. Majority rules but minority rights.

Under Islamic Shari'ah - all sizeable minorities must be consulted in state's affairs. That's why Islamic Iran and Pakistan has RESERVED seats in the National and Provincial parliaments for Hindus, Christians, Jews and Parsees.
On the other hand, one see no represtation of Muslims in policing making departments in the US, Germany, France, Russia, Austarlia, Austria and Israel. As former East Pakistan - Hindus dominated in politics, Universities, and literary circles. The Hindu elites played a great role in the dismemberment of East Pakistan, based on language and ethnic. Historically, it were Bengali Muslims, who started the Muslim movement for a separate homeland - from Hindu domination - for India's Muslims |
