Why do so many people use silly names to mask themselves?
If you have something good/bad, rude/polite, wise/idiotic, enlightened/naive to say then why not just use your real name- cryptic names do not make an interesting person and nobody has to be ashamed of anything.

It would be a shame if this website, and in particular this discussion forum, resorted often to smutty comments instead of being used to talk about all things Bengal.

Here endeth the lecture!
Fokrul

you're resorted to talking to you're self, hehehe

Well atlest I don't use a fake name. Wat about yours? IS that you're name because I never heard it before.

but I don't agree that we must talk only about bengal stuff, that would get stale.

masks- a further reply to Anika

I assure you Fokrul is a genuine bangladeshi name and I know this because I was born in Bangladesh, and my parents (who are both Bangladeshis)were in Bangladesh at the time they named me- so it is very unlikely for my name to be anything other than Bangladeshi.

One further point- coincidently, another guy bye the name of Fokrul happens to live on my street. He too is Bangladeshi.Further to that, while I was at college (A level years)there were two other people named Fokrul as well who were also Bangladeshi. It is a safe bet therefore that despite the name being unfamiliar to you, it is a very real and Bangladeshi name.

Dealing with your second point. Having supposedly clicked on a website that is called Bangladesh.com, I'm surprised that you consider talking exclusively about Bangladeshi issues to be "stale". I guess it all depends on your level of knowledge about the country and for what purpose you wish to use the site.

How are things in Canada anyway? I guess you must be from Toronto or so. The reply to myself was an attempt at humour-I'm glad you appreciated my efforts at least!!

What topics do you like talking about Anika? I'd be interested to hear from and any further suggestions you have.

Best wishes

Fokrul ( a truly real, a truly Bangladeshi name)
