Hey abc_xyz, I didn't realise you were online. Like you i had to get back to assignments. I'll be free in 2 weeks time. Do you get a 4 week holiday??? Yeah the tape was wicked, i couldn't stop listening to it. I went on mountain of light site and found some other nasheeds by Zain. I was going to order them online but it won't let you. You have to write to the address's they provide, so i haven't got round to it yet. yeah, i haven't been S***z house since eid so i haven't seen her. What's this tape like? mhnew, i can't believe you lived in Bangaldesh for 11 years. What was that like? I have to say i went there for a holiday and it wasn't a good experience.

Just a reminder. For this conversation we should be using the Personal Forum. I beleive, like me, most of us check all the forums.

Dhaka, Bangladesh is a cool place to be in. But first you have to learn to accept it as it is. If you are wearing tinted glasses which make you compare everything to the West, you won't enjoy it as much.

Thanks for the reminder, maybe I’ll remember next time.
So I guess you liked living in Bangladesh huh, Your right, Dhaka is a nice place but a lot of the other places aren’t. I don’t think that comparing Bangladesh with the West will make you enjoy it less as there are many positive and negatives points about Bangladesh in general.

Just for the sake of argument
Nothing personal….
I think its unfair to judge everyone in the same scale. I think diff ppl have diff view its depend on what kind of experience they had…
I believe there are ppl who were born and bought up in BD still donto like it there.. now the question is why? were they born with permanent western tinted glasses?

I belive some pppl grow up here in the west, when they visit to east they expects to c a different system, a better environment, and I donot think that should be a surprise since they knows they r visiting a Muslim country but instead what the shock they receive even puts the west in shame……..

And in other hand some ppl really enjoys the visit and really loves it… but again its depends on individual…….

Perhaps cuto baya could share some good stuff abt BD especially Dhaka, i.e what u really kies abt Dhaka/bd etc.. which might helps us to c differently….

You know me Apu. I just play the DA game too much. You are right. I also don't love everything about Dhaka but maybe I got used to it and never thought to judge it.

Anyway, take care.
