I am not Bangladeshi--do I have to be to join this discussion? I am a person first, then I am a woman, then I am a Mother, then I am a nurse. I love people, and as a mother and nurse I take care of all kinds of people. I try to relate to the person in as many of the dimensions of human experience as they feel comfortable. When a person is sick they may have to resort to a part of their existance that they may not have been aware of in everyday life. I work with doctors and nurses and others of many varied backgrounds; Americans, Muslims, Hindus, Jews, Christians, Atheists, Agnostics, etc.,etc.. We work together in our effort to take care of those who are sick. Sometimes the only progress we can make is on a character or spiritual level--but perhaps that's the most important thing for them and us. I've read some of the threads and I think religious details are not important. Yet the devil is in the details. Let's just be humans and share life for the betterment of our children. I can't think of one person that I have cared for as a nurse that wasn't human--such an obvious statement, but why can't everyone see it? And it seems the innocent children suffer the most.

I know you meant no offense. I just wanted to know the rules if there are some. I will go to some of the other sites--as I mentioned this is my first chat group ever. By the way, one of the other nurses I work with is named Anisa. Her mother is from Asia, her father is Polish. She is a wonderful young, pretty, intelligent and sensitive nurse.
