Food for thought! Walkers Crisps

After reading the thread on 'Burger King is halal' in the open forum....

I don't know if you know but for those of us who are muslims and try our best to keep away from haram foods, well....

Walkers Cheese&Onion cisps has animal rennet in! The packet of crisps doesnt state that it is suitable for vegetarians.

For those of you that are wondring wot rennet is....its the membrane lining from the stomachs of young calves. Contains the enzyme rennin and used for curdling milk in cheese making.

euuughhhh..ive got a pack of walkers crisps in my bag now....does dat apply to ready salted as well sis?

Nooo apparently you're okay with ready salted - coz they juz use an enzyme taken from the fish-gut (do fishes have guts?) of the north atlantic puffer fish.

The Ready Salted says suitable for vegetarians btw.
