Chicken Korma recipe - Auth

Onion Pureed - 2 large(should be about 4-5 cups)
If you don't have a food processor just do the best you can with a knife.

Chicken 1 whole (bit more or less won't hurt) boneless or with bones
Salt - 2-3 teaspoon (according to taste)
Ghee about 2 cups or as needed
Garlic - Chopped 7-8 Cloves
Ginger - Chopped - 3 1" cubes/pieces
Cardamom (elachi) - 7-10
Cinnamon (darchini) - 4-5 1" pieces
Yoghurt unsweetened (doi) - 2-3 cups - whipped
Clove (lobongo) 5-8
Green Chilli - 5-10 (dependeing on taste)
kismiss (optional) 5-20
Potatoes - large cut in four piceces. 2 should be good.
Milk whole or semi skimmed - 1/2 or 1 cup

Fry the ghee until it's hot. Add darchini, elachi, garlic, ginger, clove fry for 1 min. Add the onion and salt and fry until they turn brown or transluscent 4-5 mins.

Add the Chicken and fry on medium heat, until the chicken becomes whitish/brownish. Stir the chicken every 10-15 secs.

Add the chilli and then add youghurt, fry for 3-4 minutes.

(Add potatoes and kissmiss and milk if you are using them)

Cover and cook on med-low for another 15-20 minutes or until chicken is tender.

Let me know how it turns out. My email is sylheti@gmail.com

Hafz it i possible never to have had it!

My dad doesn't like it so we don't make it. I've had it, but only at other poeple's houses I think.

Oh and that's how I met lunghi man, when I went to his take away and ordered chicken korma, and he goes to me, 'you do know the korma is sweet?'. (but didn't realise it would have chopped almonds in it :S)
