In London there are masses of Malaysian restaurants; I live near to Paddington and the closest around here are two:

Mawar restaurant is in Edgware Road, directly across the road from the "Reel Time" amusement arcade, and is apparantly one of the best there is.....I haven't eaten there but I know the owners They are good people. Here you will find a full selection, but be prepared for some high prices.

Oriental City is in Colindale, and you can't miss it....on the Edgware road right next to Asda. In here you will find a food court full of oriental food shops....everything is cooked as you order it and there is a large place for seating inside. There are two Malaysian places side by side, One called "Lemon Grass" and another one. [b]Go to Lemon Grass Only!!!!, the other one does not use Halal Food, even thought they claim it. Lemon Grass is owned by my friend's Uncle.

Also, in Portobello Road West London there is a place called "Makan"....(which translates to "Eat"), and has a variety of choices, but is more like a cafe.....so if you go here don't expect fully clad waiters etc.

There are others in central London and West London....there was a good one in Harlesden (this is the one I worked in) but it closed because of the area.....it worked for a little while as a novelty, but then no.

If you desire real restauranteurs, go for Mawar.... Enjoy!!
