Italians don't know how to make seafood? Maybe they don't know how to cook it the Bengali way, but I'm sure they know how to cook a seafood platter. Maybe the seafood platter that you ordered was supposed to have raw seafood in it.

Anyway, have you heard about this peruvian dish called ceviche, which has all raw seafood in it but it's cooked in acid. It tastes delicious. Also, zushi with the raw fish in it...mmmmmm. mmmm...mmmmm like campbell soup...
