Does anyone else in the world think jilepi is disgusting? I cant stand it, but everyone else seems to thinks its the best mishti there is.

my faves are ladoo and rasmalai...... and that kulfi stuff you can get and keep in your freezer: the pistacio flavour one is delicious! yummy.

Slaya U said it!
Gulam Jamuns rules and Chum chums are very tasty too. And let's not forget Ras Gulle. (The white thingys, a bit like gulab jamuns) I can't see the problem with Jalebis though? They are nice, the only "negative" thing about them is that they are sticky
By the way, are there any typical "Bengladeshi" mithai? I mean, (and pls don't get me wrong here) the mithai you guys have mentioned is Pakistani/Indian? Or am I completely wrong in my assumption??

its all the same. when i went to bdesh, i was always forced to eat the stuff, so i assume its bangladeshi too?

if you go to a bangladeshi mishti shop, they sell the exact same stuff as ambala and royal..... we're all from the same regions, so the food is all the same (mostly).

i suppose we have something called shemai, that im not sure that you guys have: its kinda sweet noodles in thick milky stuff with raisins in it (optional) and thoosha shinni which is soft doughy creamy brown stuff that you roll into balls: i think its made from semolina and brown sugar but im not sure: very nice! think those are the purely bengali mitai and they are delicious!

Ok, I'll check thoosha shinni out the next time I'm in the UK. Shemai doesn't sound too appealing to my taste buds. Who knows, maybe my bloke can make it??
