Three years ago I was in Dhaka and the best restaurants were White House, Sky Room etc.

I hear there are now a batch of nicer restaurants.

Anyone know which ones and what's their specialty?

my favorite one frm last visit was one called "Lemon Grass" somewhere in Gulshan

the food was fantastic but by far the best dish was a fish dish (!) I dont even dig fish too much

bt this fish was called a Red Snapper and the way they cooked it to make it crispy....mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

go try it, it was pretty kool

the other one i went to (which was okish) was called Laluna, thats also in Gulshan. its pretty average but its ok

but they are chinese... if u want real bangali food then Kasturi is your place to be...!

and if u want steak, then theres a really great place near NSU called 13 coins - the steaks (i hear) are better than in ?Don Giovanni? (sry bout the spelling)

Enjoy

Salaam

Restaurants

Hey ILLEST_Lyrical_Assasin,

I think the one you're talking about is called 'Sajna' (Indian/Mughlai). Great decor/ambience!

But there's a batch of new restaurants besides Sajna, White House, Sky Room and Lemon Grass. Much newer.

They opened up in 2002.
