Moderator who have not come in a long time, delete there names?

I see three moderators that i haven't seen in at least five to seven months or more then that, I'm wondering if it would be alright to maybe delete there names from some of the more popular sections? Some sections already have the capacity full of four moderators but most of them aren't active. I would like to be a moderator of one of those sections but cannot because of that reason.

So Admin, would it be alright to delete there name from some of the sections?
