I am saddened by some of the thing that i see around me. I am a bangladeshi and proud to be one. but, i notice people criticize Bangladesh and its politicians, but those people refuse to do anything to correct what is worng. we have a proud heritage. there is a proverb, "what Bengal thinkd today, rest of india think tomorrow." we have a language that is equal and in some respect better than Hindi yet a lot of people incline towards hindi movie and culture. instead of taking measures to improve we are now cultuturally invaded by India. our mind is getting corrupted with their 'Hindustani' propaganda. what can one person do, one might ask. stop renting those movies, stop going to those shows. because when you do that you generate money for them which in turn is used to invade your mind further. not only that, my personal opinion is that these movies and shows are not appropriate for children. they have strong sexual contents in them. one has only to look at an actress dance which is more like shaking and simulating sex. The art of dance is turned into legal "nude bar dance" by hindi film producer.
we are a democracy, a young one. we must not yell out, without thinking, that our country lacks human rights. because it does not. granted that there are crimes and probaly its at a peak now, but the two are very different. there is no movement in our country that calls for destruction andejection of minorities. but that is a truth in our neighboring country India. there is no move that calls for suprresion of people of specific region, in another word freedom of choice. In India Kashmir is raped and killed by Indian troops. same goes for asam. this was the truth for seikhs as well. so who you say is violating Human rights Bangladesh or India. the answer I think is very simple.
So feel proud to have a such peaceful and enriched culture and next time you here a propaganda think who will benefit from it, is it true? and do not spread a disease rather disifect. peace and love to all the bangladeshis out there. Remember you are Bangladesh.
