You can't blame the western culture! It is the kids and the parents choice that results in things. I'v seen parents telling there kids only to speak English at home so they learn it more. Afterwards when the kid forgets how to speak bangla they complain about the westtern culture. I'v seen kids start to drink and where do you think the blame falls? The kid made a decision and don't forget this could have happened even in Bangladesh. Your right there are a lot of bad influence in the western culture but there is a lot in every culture too. You must learn to filter through and do the good things that are in the culture and ingore the others.

It's all about teaching discipline and respect. Religion will play a big part in this and a parent who fails to teach such things in the home has failed in his duties as a muslim.
A lot of ppl in this country just send their kids to the mosque and that is all the teachings that they recieve. If parents show themselves as positive role models and not some kind of barbaric muslim eccentric then the kids will embrace Islam too. It is most disturbing the way in which the youth today are turning away from there religion. I also understand it is very difficult to parent a child with such an upbringing yet also want them to have their independence and a good level of education. I also believe there is no correct formula to bring up children as every individual case is different.
