I am having a problem with my Internet Explorer 5.5 on Win 2000 platform:
When I click on a link on a webpage and if that link has to open a new window to go there, I see the new window open but nothing in it. What happens is I get a blank window without IE trying to connect to the link. There is no address on the address bar of the new window. Any idea or solutions? I was trying to download IE6.0 from the windows update site but didn't finish downloading and didn't install it. Can this have any impact? Thanks |

Kaiser,
Usually some links auotmatically open a new window, but some will try to open in the same window. Now I think the better way to do it is, Right click your mouse on the link, then select 'open in New Window'. May be this way you would be able to see the new window with the content. |

There are many known problems with IE 5.5.
Try downloading the latest service pack from Microsoft from http://www.microsoft.com. Bear in mind that the download can be time consuming. I wouldn't recomend you download IE 6.0 unless you are definate that it does not have any bugs.
