Computer without CPU !

Can you imagine computer withour CPU? Give me some creative idea. That you think the without this or that if computer works .....?

All I can say is dat, within 2 years, from 350mhz to 1400mhz and still counting...... boy dat technology moving fast

And you are right Abs. Its moving really fast. I am not a 'hardware' techie and to me the speed seems even faster. It seems only yesterday I had 486 .. and it was the fastest in Bangladesh or so I thought then.

The Brain can be a substitute for the microprocessor. I believe they r working on that now.

they are working on that, in a secret location in the UK in fact! well at a UNI. It's a joint project with the US.

it is a molecular computer. its sort fo a very miniatur version of blackhole if you will. the way it works is by determing the position of particles like photon(not sure of the name). instead of 0 and 1 switsh you would have numerous particles at differentlocation on a X,Y,Z plane and the state of data willbe determined by their relative position. this is a concept cooked up by a professor at MIT. they did research but it is not possible to put it in a simple box(at least not yet)
