has anyone made a crossover cable ?

Question

i've been trying but to no success.

i've made a straight cable and can access the other computer, it's jus when i crossover the wires it doesnt work?

is there a way to open an rj45 jack ?

RJ45 Pinout

one end
1 - tx - white/orange
2 - tx - orange
3 - rx - white/green
4 - blue
5 - white/blue
6 - rx - green
7 - white/brown
8 - brown

other end
1 - rx - white/green
2 - rx - green
3 - tx - white/orange
4 - blue
5 - white/blue
6 - tx - orange
7 - white/brown
8 - brown

Use Crossover to connect two PC's directly or Hub to Hub BUTTT today's hubs/switches have an uplink port which are internally crossed, in those cases use a straight-through cable.
