jus got it the other day, i'm with BTOpenworld and its amazing.
on a 56k downloading a movie took 3 to 4 days. with adsl it takes a matter of hours. hah, i should work for BT's marketing, that should get all the punters in. if ur downloading mp3s, you'll know that it take about 15-20 mins for one song 4-5mb. with adsl, it takes 1 or 2 minutes a song. i'd say £40 a month is well worth it. |

Nope. Despite the asset of having ADSL ppl in the states have been complaining about the poor rates they get with ADSL.
The same problems will occur here too. And with BT being less responsive then the Americans you'll have a hell of a PROBLEM of getting through to them.

Well we have a LAN in our house and none of us have suffered from Download Speed problems. We have actually downloaded Movies and watched them on our computers. The ADSL is definitely faster as it is dedicated to you and you only. However, maybe in US and UK the system load is higher.
